The Martlet in our University Crest
Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ’s crest includes the symbol of a martlet. A martlet in English heraldry is a mythical bird without feet which never roosts from the moment of its birth until its fall to death.
Martlets are proposed to be continuously on the wing. The martlet symbolises Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ students’ desire to keep moving forward and for life-long learning.
